I recently had some friends visiting from out of state and we spent a day exploring Venice Beach. I’m here to tell you the best sites to see and places to eat.
Start your day by grabbing your friends and heading to brunch at 26 Beach Restaurant. This restaurant is picture perfect and the food is amazing!
Tip: Go on a weekday to avoid the crowd or if you go on a weekend reserve your spot in line via the yelp app. We used the yelp app and only had to wait in line 15 mins, while others that showed up the same time had an hour wait.
After brunch head over to Abbot Kinney Blvd. In the past Venice Beach has been known for its hippy vibes and relaxing beaches. Now Abbot Kinney Blvd is quickly making a name for itself as the new tourist hotspot and is often referred to as “coolest block in America.” From boutiques to bars Abbot Kinney Blvd is the place to be. While you are there don’t forget to check out the street art and snap a picture by the infamous love wall.
Not as well known, the Venice Canals are a great site to see. They are located at Carroll Ct & Eastern Canal Ct. Venice, CA 90293. If you have time, I would recommend stopping by the Mosaic Tile House located at 1116 Palms Blvd, Venice, CA 9029.
Head to muscle beach to see gym fanatics take over.
Grab dinner at Great White or Winston House.
In the evening, take a stroll down the Venice Boardwalk. You can enjoy watching the local street performers and check out the tee shirt and sunglasses shops.
End the day watching the sunset on the famous Venice Beach.
